Shropshire businesses to learn about HR at free county event next month.

Lord Sugar might get away with using the catchphrase 'You're Fired' but Shropshire businesses will learn there's more to HR than just hiring and firing at an event in Shrewsbury next month.

Triangle HR provide strategic and operational advice and support to all industry sectors, offering day to day HR expertise across Shropshire and the West Midlands.

Justine Vaughan, director and founder of the firm, will attend Carafair 2015 at Shrewsbury Town Football Club’s stadium on June 3 to talk to businesses about ‘The Employee Journey – Challenges and Considerations for the Employer’.

She said: “The purpose of this session is to help reassure managers and business owners when managing the journey of the employee, from the initial stages of recruiting a new team member through to managing sickness absence and employee performance to name a few.

“During our briefing, we will also look to highlight the specific areas of employment legislation that employers should consider when managing people in the workplace.”

Hosted by buying consortium Caradoc Medical Services Carafair 2015 will be held from 1.30pm to 5.30pm with the presentation from Triangle HR taking place at 4.30pm.

Peter Masters, of Caradoc Medical Services, said: “We have had a number of small to medium sized businesses sign up to the event in 2015.

“They will join other organisations attending including GP Practices, therapists, dentists, vets and care home representatives from across the county. It is a great opportunity to receive HR advice, health and safety training, information about digital marketing and much more.

“Guests can also learn about the benefits of being a member or a supplier with the consortium.”

Caradoc, based in Shrewsbury, was set up to maximise the buying power of members, maximise savings and increase profitability through enhanced buying terms and money saving ideas.

The sister company of Shropdoc it is a not-for-profit organisation and it is free to join the buying group with no membership fees. The consortium was originally set up to help local GP practices save money but now has members across a range of different sectors nationwide.

The trade show and workshops will begin at 1pm and Amanda Dodd, a leader in the field of Digital Marketing in the Northwest, will be talking to businesses about how they can harness their use of social media at 1.30pm.

Between 3pm and 4pm businesses can hear from Helen Culshaw, an online marketing expert and Google Partner, who will be talking to businesses about getting to the top of Google in 2015.
