Shrewsbury Secret Supper: Autumn Edition

Some of the best restaurants in Shrewsbury are once again helping to raise thousands of pounds for an African charity by taking part in a secret dining event.

Shrewsbury-based Self Help Africa are hosting their first-ever Autumn edition of Secret Supper on Tuesday 17 October.

Steph Smith, Fundraising Officer, said guests will visit three restaurants during their evening.

She said: “Marking World Food Day & celebrating Shropshire Oktoberfest, this special dining experience takes you to three ‘secret’ restaurants where you’ll be treated to a fabulous starter, main course and dessert. The locations of the restaurants and the dishes you’ll be eating, will be revealed on the night!”

“Our Spring Secret Supper, earlier this year, welcomed 230 guest across six restaurants and raised over £5,000 for Self Help Africa.”

Tickets for the three-course Shrewsbury Secret Supper are £32.50, including a welcome drink at Tanners Wines, kindly sponsored by Oldfield's Applesecco. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Self Help Africa.

Based in Shrewsbury, Self Help Africa work across nine African countries; they support smallholder farmers to grow more food, increase their income from farming activities and become self-sufficient.
