The 2015 Shrewsbury Regatta will take place on the River Severn on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May.
Shrewsbury Regatta is one of the oldest events in the rowing calendar, having first been held in 1871. Races will take place between English Bridge and the boathouses opposite the Quarry. The action will last from 8.30am to 6.30pm on Saturday 9 May and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday 10 May. Between these times there will be a race every three minutes. Around 40 rowing clubs will be taking part and 1500 competitors and 3000 spectators are expected over the weekend.
Spectators will be able to watch from the river bank opposite the Quarry and there will be no charge for admission. Drinks and refreshments will be available for sale.
