Shrewsbury gym to relocate to new premises at Battlefield Enterprise Park as part of its expansion

A Shrewsbury gym is to relocate to new premises at the town’s Battlefield Enterprise Park as part of its expansion.

CrossFit SY1 intend to open at Unit 4, Hussey Road midway through next month once fit-out works are completed.

The company has agreed to let the modern mid-terrace commercial unit, which extends to approximately 3,899 sq ft, for a term of six years.

The premises feature a front showroom, manager’s office, kitchenette, warehouse and toilet facilities.

The warehouse area provides versatile accommodation, with a minimum eaves height of 6.39m, natural lighting and roller shutter loading door.

The site also benefits from a large shared yard to the front and nine dedicated car parking spaces.

Amie Barter, who completed the letting for Towler Shaw Roberts, said: "The premises were identified by CrossFit SY1 Ltd as ideal to accommodate their expansion and relocation from their existing premises at Castle Foregate.

“A change of use to D2 leisure has been secured and they intend to open in mid-October following fit-out works.

"The premises occupy a prominent location, fronting Hussey Road in the heart of Battlefield Enterprise Park, and provide convenient access to the A5 and A49 trunk roads.”

CrossFit SY1 is a gym for people looking to improve their strength and cardiovascular endurance while improving functional skills.

CrossFit is recognised as a fitness programme suitable for all ages and abilities.
