Septimus the Giant Shrewsbury Cobbler

During the last two weeks of September Shrewsbury Morris, along with anyone and everyone else who would like to join us, will be working at Leighton Village Hall to design, build and dress Septimus, the first ever giant Shrewsbury cobbler. Septimus will be the first ever Shrewsbury Giant Processional Puppet.

Following the construction of Septimus he will make his public debut on Sunday 29th September in The Square, Shrewsbury from 11.00am. Along with this performance, Shrewsbury Morris will be dancing and there will also be an opportunity for everyone to ‘Have a go at Morris Dancing with Shrewsbury Morris’.

Come and join Shrewsbury Morris for the Giant Building Workshop, the first performance and also the opportunity to have a go at Morris Dancing. All of this is suitable for all ages and free to everyone thanks to funding from both Arts Council England and Shrewsbury Town Council.

Shrewsbury Morris will also be running a Taster Evening of Morris Dancing in the evening of Thursday October 3rd at Oakmeadow School, Bayston Hill.
