Pensionlite Advisers Race The Stadiums

A group of pension specialists are racing between two Shropshire football stadiums this weekend in support of five local charities.

Advisers from Pensionlite based in Stafford Court, will be starting at opposite locations and will run and walk the 13 mile route from the New Bucks Head in Telford to Montgomery Waters Meadow, home of Shrewsbury Town.

Pension adviser Alex Milligan, will start from the New Bucks Head Stadium and run to Montgomery Waters Meadow and back again.

Mr Milligan has been training hard and is hoping to complete the 23 mile distance in under four hours.

“I’ve clocked up a few miles over the last couple of months so feel ready for the challenge, I just hope the weather is kind to me on the day,” he said.

At the same time he leaves Telford, another group of advisers will be walking from Montgomery Waters Meadow – in a race to see who will complete their distance first?

Pensionlite compliance consultant Phil Spare said: “I walk quite a lot so the distance shouldn’t be a problem, the terrain will be flat as well so no major hills.

"It will be interesting to see if Alex can catch us up and I'm sure we'll be looking over our shoulder on more than one occasion."

All proceeds will be supporting Pensionlite's five chosen charities, Lingen Davies, Hope House, Severn Hospice, Compton Care and Jayne Sargent Foundation.
