New Manager at Care Home has Community Focus

An experienced care professional has been appointed manager at leading Shropshire care home, Stretton Hall, in All Stretton.

Jonathan Breese joined Morris Care’s Stretton Hall home after six years as deputy nurse manager at Morris Care’s Isle Court home in Bicton, Shrewsbury.

The promotion sees him head a 50-bedroom home which provides short and long term care for the elderly, with specialist care for those living with dementia.

Father of four Jonathan, aged 48, said: “It’s a beautiful home with a great team of people and I’m enjoying the new responsibilities.  I will work to maintain and build on Stretton Hall’s reputation for providing quality care and choosing the right people to ensure our high standards are maintained.

“My new role involves not only managing staff, but also liaising with families, other professionals, outside agencies and hospitals. I am keen to uphold close links with the local community as they continue to play a pivotal role in keeping our residents involved in the community.”

Jonathan started nursing in 1988 and qualified in 1991 as a learning disability nurse. He has worked in nursing homes since 2001. “When I came to Stretton Hall it had a lovely feel, I am delighted to be part of it” he added.

Morris Care is a family business with six care homes and employs 426 nurses and carers.
