New apprentice for Promofix Ltd ...

It’s certainly no mug’s game for Promofix …

A south Shropshire merchandising company has taken on a local apprentice following a huge increase in demand for its products.

Long time Chamber of Commerce member Promofix, based on Faraday Drive, in Bridgnorth, provides printed promotional items for companies both locally and across the UK and has seen a 50% rise in online sales so far this year.

To cater for this increase, Gabby Taylor-Jones, from Highley, near Bridgnorth, has been taken on as an apprentice, placed in conjunction with fellow Chamber member Nigel Parry, of Shropshire County Training.

Gabby, aged 17, is a former student of Bridgnorth Endowed School and Hartpury Equestrian College in Gloucestershire, where she followed her passion for horses.

Kathryn Holloway, of Promofix, said: ‘We recently launched a range of items featuring our own designs with the most popular being our ‘to Bee’ mugs for prospective mums, aunties, and grannies etc, which have been selling really well online, especially as ‘Baby Showers’ for pregnant women are becoming increasing popular in the UK, and these items make the ideal gift.

“Besides our usual promotional products for business, the launch of this new range has shown a 50% increase in our sales figures and it is very gratifying to see items designed and produced in Bridgnorth being sold not only across the UK but sent to countries around the world.

“We are delighted to welcome Gabby to the Promofix team and feel sure that she will be a vital asset to the firm as we continue to diversify, expand and grow the business.”
