Mayor of Shrewsbury opens new lifestyle store

Health and lifestyle brand Middletons are celebrating the opening of their brand new store on Arlington Road.

The store was officially opened on Saturday 15th September by the Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Peter Nutting, who cut the ribbon and welcomed the company and their staff to the town. Despite a rainy start, he was joined by local brass band Salopian Brass. They kicked off the celebrations with some rousing tunes and provided the soundtrack to the day.

Fulfilling their core belief that everyone deserves to live a life without limits, they presented the Telford Stags Walking Football Club with their new kit. The team are sponsored by Middletons, who are committed to helping people live an active lifestyle. The players joined in the celebrations and were on hand to answer questions about walking football. There was even time for a kick-about!

Free tea and cake was available all day and went down a treat. They also presented their very first customer with a bottle of champagne, which was gladly received!

Regional Sales Manager Wayne Greet said: “We’re delighted to have opened in Shrewsbury and we’d like to thank the local community for giving us such a warm welcome. Our door is always open and we love sitting down with our customers for a cup of tea and a friendly chat.

“For those who can’t get to the store, our free, door-to-store taxi service is now up and running too, so everyone can come and see what we have to offer.”
