The true magic of music was captured at Radbrook Nursing Home this week as residents enjoyed live music for the first time in over twelve months.
Residents and staff gathered in the new Cherry Trees household to watch professional singer Paul Watkins as he performed songs from the 60's in the garden.
Lucy Holl, Chief Executive of Morris Care said: “We’ve had entertainment streaming in our Homes via Zoom throughout lockdown but there’s nothing like the real thing. We were especially touched by the residents that got on their feet and danced the afternoon away. Paul has been a hit in our Homes for a few years and they are delighted to have him back in person, albeit in our gardens.”
Radbrook Nursing Home’s beautiful new Cherry Trees Dementia Household opens its doors this month as a new addition to the recently refurbished nursing home in the heart of the Radbrook community in Shrewsbury.
Cherry Trees has been carefully designed and decorated to provide a haven for memory care with its 14 en-suite bedrooms leading to lovely themed areas for socialising and relaxation.
