Shropshire’s brand-new fitness and Wellbeing event, the Wellbeing Festival is fast approaching and has been incredibly well accepted. With many people excited to attend and get involved. The Wellbeing Festival will be coming to Shrewsbury Quarry on the 11th & 12th June to inspire audiences with local and nationally acclaimed specialists talking, demonstrating, and engaging in the field of Wellbeing. This event features four unique areas of, Wellbeing, Fitness, Nutrition, Kids plus an extra Mindfulness zone, giving guests an event jam-packed with activities.
Since the pandemic, wellbeing has become a key part in many of our lives, with more people talking about mental health and seeking support from many different channels such as fitness, hobbies, and local charities. Families are spending more time together, engaging in activities to benefit the wellbeing of the family and we want this event to be a key part in this. Big national and local names attending include Marcus Bean, The Lunch Box Doctor, TV Personality Nell McAndrew and many more inspiring and motivating people. Click and Protect will be at the Wellbeing Festival with their very own professional staff to offer Wills and legal estate planning advice and Shropshire Floats will have one of their Float Pods at the event! A proven relaxation method to help people unwind, relieve stress, and escape all those aches and pains.
Educating young minds is an important tool to support generations with physical and mental health, as they journey into adulthood. So, as well as the many activities and speakers lined up to entertain the adults, the kid’s zone will also be packed with plenty to keep the little ones engaged! Just a few of the many activities and classes include circus skills, fitness sessions, Boxing, interactive mental health workshops, bush craft, healthy cookery classes and much more.
To keep everyone attending energised and their stomachs filled during the many fitness sessions, talks and guest stars, there will also be a range of retailers and professionals in all fields of wellbeing and a variety of delicious, local food and drink vendors!
Event organiser Carrie Hughes from Pink Pebble Events Ltd told us; “The idea for Wellbeing Festival was actually born about 4 years ago, but we suffered 2 years of cancellation due to the pandemic and are now back with a bang! Despite the frustrations of having to postpone the event it has actually developed the festival to be bigger and better than initially anticipated.
Wellbeing as a topic has become more forefront in our minds and people seem to be embracing their wellbeing not only from a physical and mental point of view but also, we are considering our financial, environmental, and work wellbeing more than ever before. It’s also amazing to see more companies embracing wellbeing in the workplace, and this will be one of the topics covered at the festival. Of course, many of us consider wellbeing to be a serious topic but we will be delivering the festival in a fun and informal way with a festival vibe and activities for everyone. It’s a great day or weekend out for families, singles, couples, younger and older generations so there is something for everyone and we can’t wait to welcome you all!”
