James Lee Humphreys, otherwise known as The Voice from the Valley is set to join the star-studded cast of ‘Music of the Night’ at Theatre Severn this summer.

International singer and performer, James will join the cast of ‘Music of the Night’ on the 13th & 14th of August. James is a full-time vocalist with a wealth of experience, having toured the globe with many different operas and musicals. This summer, James is set to perform his one-man show in the heart of London’s West End.

Speaking ahead of the production, James said:

“I am thrilled to be performing in such a beautiful theatre and celebrating musical theatre, finally again with live musicians. I’m excited to sing alongside the rest of the cast, who I know are out-of-this-world.

“Shrewsbury is such a beautiful place, it’s no surprise that it has been voted one of the best places to live in the UK. I’m looking forward to rehearsing in the town and taking a tour on the Sabrina boat...if I get time.”

The production will feature performances from the nations’ favourite musicals, a glorious live band and a mischievous script.

Producer Michael Jenkins said:

“This production offers so much more than we’ve ever been able to. The cast members are coming directly from the West End and the script has been written by another seriously impressive creative. It promises to be lots of fun.”

“In addition to our performers and scriptwriter, we have also hired a very talented lighting designer to ensure that our production looks stunning. Gavin Sharpe, who has worked on international tours of Hairspray and Chicago will be designing the show. With Gavin on board, I can guarantee that this show will look like no other.”

To ensure that the event is COVID compliant, social distancing will be in place, and the capacity has been reduced in line with the guidance.
