Housebuilder to host Jubilee family fun events

A Stafford-based housebuilder is getting into the Jubilee spirit this bank holiday with family fun events planned across its housing developments.

Vistry Mercia is hosting the events on Thursday 2, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June at developments in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Vistry Mercia is part of Vistry Group, which includes Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships.

Participating sites include Edwalton Fields in Edwalton, Haygate Fields in Wellington, Hazelmere in Haslington, Oteley Gardens in Shrewsbury, Partridge Walk in Stafford and The Steadings in Essington.

The events will be taking place at the site sales offices from 10am till 5pm.

Attendees will get to enjoy food and drinks, and children will be able to take part in a Jubilee-themed ‘Find the Corgi’ competition in which cardboard cut-out faces of Corgis will be hidden around the developments for children to find.

The winner of the competition at each site will receive a £10 Smyths Toys voucher and all participants will get sweets.

Freya Halsall, marketing assistant for Vistry Mercia, said: “The idea of these events is to bring together the local community in the areas in which we are building to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

“We’re hoping they will be fun-filled days for the whole family, and will also give people a good opportunity to come along to our sites to talk to our sales consultants about our new Bovis Homes and Linden Homes properties.

“We look forward to welcoming lots of new faces to our developments and can’t wait to see the children enjoying some Jubilee-themed fun with our Find the Corgi competitions.”
