Galliers' boost for Shrewsbury school

Children from a Shrewsbury school will now feel safer when on trips out in the town thanks to a local builder.

Galliers Homes, which is developing a range of properties at three sites in Shrewsbury, has donated high visibility vests to Coleham School pupils.

Sales and marketing director Andy Gough explained that Galliers was a very safety-conscious company and wanted to do something to help the local community.

He commented: “We are building several developments in and around Shrewsbury and we have an office in the town centre so we often see pupils walking through.

“The bright waistcoats will help the children to be easily spotted by motorists and should ensure they are safer when out and about.”

Claire Jones, headmistress of the school, which has over 400 pupils, said that she was very grateful for the donation.

“We would like to say a big thank you to Galliers Homes. The high visibility jackets will be really useful when we take the children out on school trips in the local area and when the children do their road safety training and bikeability lessons.”

Galliers is selling a range of homes on its three developments at Elm Tree Park in The Mount; Middledene at Hadnall and Saxon Court at Sundorne.
