The future is orange for weddings in 2015 - that’s the view of experts at a Telford hotel gearing up for their busiest time of the year.
Rebecca Dawson, events coordinator at The Park Inn by Radisson, said orange had emerged as a hugely popular choice among brides choosing their colour scheme.
The hotel in Forge Gate near Telford Shopping Centre has invested more than £4 million over the past two years to update its facilities, and is hosting more weddings than ever before in 2015.
Rebecca said: “We have massively improved the overall look and feel of the hotel, and we are finding that people are very impressed when they come here.
“The Park Inn has not always been an obvious choice for weddings in the past but we want to change that - we are placing a big focus on weddings now.
“From talking to wedding parties so far this year it’s clear that bright and bold colours like orange are on trend, as are pastels if people are going for a shabby chic look.
“It’s an added bonus for me, as orange is my favourite colour!”
Rebecca said that flexibility was the main priority for many people planning their wedding.
“Ultimately it’s your day and we are here to make sure you get everything you want,” she said. “At the outset we make a wishlist with the couple and we do everything we can to meet everything on that list.
“We are extremely flexible and are fortunate to have the facilities and room lay-outs to allow that. We can cater for more than 400 guests right down to an intimate setting of less than 50.”
The Park Inn is currently running a special offer of a free drinks reception for up to 60 guests for people booking their wedding in 2015 or 2016.
