Flicks in the Sticks - New Season Starts!

Rural cinema scheme Flicks in the Sticks returns this September with a fantastic line up of films, guaranteed to brighten up autumn evenings in community hubs and village halls across Shropshire, Herefordshire and beyond.

Running from September to December in over 100 venues, Flicks in the Sticks new autumn programme brings a wide spectrum of film to local audiences including world cinema, local productions, big blockbusters, magical musicals and family favourites. Get ready to lift off with Rocketman, fly high on Alladin’s magic carpet and splash back down to earth with Fisherman’s Friends – there really is something to satisfy all ages and tastes.

Flicks in the Sticks is a brilliant scheme that brings professional film events to far-flung rural locations. The obvious benefits of this are bringing communities together and enabling the elderly, the infirm, those with transport worries and those who just don’t fancy or can’t afford to travel to bigger towns and cities, to see high quality film on their doorstep.

So come and experience the joys of rural cinema, where every evening is unique and more than just a film screening is included in the ticket price; enjoy anything from pre-film suppers and homemade cakes (some still served on a Berylware plate!) to harvest raffles, themed crafts and delicious gin tastings.

Flicks screenings are accessible, affordable events that are organised by the community, for the community. Book your tickets and come along to a film night with a difference - we look forward to seeing you there!
