Flaxmill Maltings - Heritage Open Days

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, which includes the Main Mill, the first iron framed building in the world, will be opening it's gates to the public again over the Heritage open days, on the 9th and 10th of September. Opening times will be 10am to 4pm. 

Building works are currently underway on the site, thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant of over £20m. The open weekend offers a chance to see the works in progress up close, and there will be displays showing the scope of the works, and the future plans for the site.

On offer will be guided tours, with an opportunity to climb to the top of the tower, the recently kitted out Visitor Centre, an art exhibition, demonstrations, family friendly activities and all of this is all for free! 

There will also be refreshments to buy on site.
