Exclusive development of Shrewsbury homes set to be completed by Spring 2019

An independent, exclusive development of four, three bedroomed homes in Shrewsbury is now firmly under way and expected to be completed by late Spring and ready for sale.

Family-run construction firm TC Homes began the building work on Red Barn in December. The development has created more than local 20 jobs and the homes are for private sale through TC Homes for around £270,000 each.

The development called Red Barn, is situated on the outskirts of Shrewsbury town centre on Longden Road. The site is connected via the Bowbrook Valley to Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park. Front and rear gardens and two allocated parking spaces complement each home.

Victoria Charnley, Director, said: “The most exciting thing about this development is that they are completely individual homes and are being built to a high standard with quality interiors.

“The earlier a buyer registers their interest with us with intent to buy, the earlier they could put their stamp on it and make it bespoke. Buyers can pick their own tiles, bathrooms, flooring etc from a range of quality local suppliers we are working with. We can discuss the interiors with buyers to suit their tastes and specifications - whether they want a country kitchen or a high gloss contemporary look. Help to buy is also available, so please speak to us to discuss this.”

In addition to the development, the company is also renovating an old building in Coleham, called The Warehouse, to become its new town centre offices. The project is due for completion in May. TC Homes Contracting, the arm of the company which builds homes for private clients, including housing associations, has further contracts worth around £7million in development.

Alexandra Road, Wellington, a development of 24 houses and apartments for Severnside Housing, was handed over in the first week of March. A development of at Poynton Road in Shawbury of 20 semi-detached two and three-bedroomed houses for Floreat Housing Group,is also due to be finalised this month. The latest projects to begin include a £1.5million contract for Meres and Mosses in Bomere Heath of one bungalow, six two bedroomed and six three bedroomed houses. A £2.3million, 22 home site in Smethwick with West Midlands Housing Association, is also due to begin soon.
