Early year sunshine helps attract visitors to Shrewsbury's popular Love2Stay resort

Salop Leisure's popular Love2Stay touring and glamping resort has enjoyed a busy start to 2019 - with delighted guests making the most of the early year sunshine.

Love2Stay, which opened two years ago on land adjoining Salop Leisure’s Emstrey headquarters in Shrewsbury, stretches across 22 acres and offers luxurious glamping and caravan holidays.

Thousands of guests have already headed to the £6.5 million resort since the turn of the year, with the current weather also helping to boost numbers.

Tony Bywater, the chairman of Salop Leisure, said: “We were closed for just two weeks during the winter period and we have never known it so busy since re-opening.

“It was particularly busy during half term and what’s so good about our park is it caters very much for families with young children, with activities throughout the winter period.

“Our synthetic ice skating rink has proved to be very popular while we also offer kayaking, raft building, archery and many other activities.

“The weather has been so good and it’s wonderful to see the park bathed in sunshine and people of all ages enjoying a swim in the park's natural outdoor pool.”

Love2Stay can accommodate more than 120 touring caravans or motorhomes while its family glamping lodges which sleep up to six people are hugely popular with guests.
