Chamber en route to further success ...

Tanat Valley Coaches of Llanrhaeadr, near Oswestry, is the latest firm to join Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.

The company runs a fleet of 32 buses and coaches and has a task force of 60 people, including drivers, technicians and administrative staff, providing regular bus routes, school runs, day trips and holiday tours both home and abroad, with the fleet covering over a million miles each year.

Founded in 1921, Tanat Valley Coaches is now run by brothers Michael and Peter Williams, who are joint directors. They have just invested £200,000 in three new coaches to add to their fleet for Continental tours, however, pride of place in the yard still goes to their classic 1962 Leyland Tiger Cub, which is used for weddings and local day trips.

Michael commented: “We are looking forward to meeting new people and exchanging business ideas with fellow members of the Chamber as well as taking advantage of its range of support services and products, such as legal advice and information on topical and relevant business issues.”

Signing up the latest business was membership advisor Ruth Ross, who added: “With over 800 member firms across the region, the Chamber of Commerce provides a wide range of valuable services and support to both large companies, SMEs and sole traders alike.

“This gives business people the opportunity to work together, share ideas and voice concerns on any issues affecting their work or meet potential new clients and customers at one of our expanding breakfast networking clubs and we are therefore delighted to welcome Michael, Peter and the team of Tanat Valley Coaches on board.”
