Adcote School Community and Work Experience Partners

Mrs D Brown, the headmistress at Adcote School for girls, recently visited us to discuss our existing partnership. We have always been in close association with Adcote and are strong supporters of all that they endeavour to achieve with their students. We provide mutual support for each other in that sense that, whilst we provide work experience and support, Adcote provides us with bilingual support when communicating with our foreign visitors and the opportunity to grow our Work Experience Programme.

We provide a range of work experience opportunities for the students at Adcote School, and beyond. These experiences enable students to get a real feel for what it’s like to run one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. We offer a wide array of work experience roles and encourage schools and groups from across the region to get in touch so that we can provide the best opportunity for each individual. From marketing to logistics work all the way to front of house, there truly is a role for anyone here at the Ironworks centre.

Adcote focuses very heavily on STEM by encouraging careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields whilst also participating in the yearly STEM challenge. Their team ‘The Atomic Adcotians’ even won the regional STEM Challenge award this year for their lightweight portable wheelchair ramp – an exceptionally innovative design. Adcote is also one of the first schools in the UK to offer their Sixth Formers a professional leadership and management qualification which perfectly equips them to take on the 21st Century world as powerful leaders.

We believe, much like Adcote School, that our future generation will be the pioneers of highly important future business ventures. And this is why it is so important to provide them with relevant and fulfilling knowledge in the midst of their education years.
