‘Andy Murraymint’ heads to Shrewsbury for half-term tennis fun

Children will get the chance to take part in some free, half-term fun next week, when the popular Snapper Jaxx Kids Club returns to Shrewsbury Shopping Centre and serves up a special guest.

Wannabe tennis star Andy Murraymint will be at the Pride Hill centre on Thursday, 2 June, when the children’s club hosts a special ‘Anyone for Tennis?’ event between 11am and 4pm.

Although ‘Andy’ thinks that he can win ‘Wumbledon’, his tennis coach thinks he’s going to need some serious help to prepare - so parents and children are being invited to help get him into shape and fix his racquet before he heads off to the big tournament.

Shrewsbury Shopping Centre Manager Kevin Lockwood said he was expecting the free kids event to be as popular as ever. “Snapper Jaxx is always a huge hit with parents and children, and we are thrilled to see it return for the school holidays,” he said. “The combination of play, crafts and lots of laughter means that everyone leaves with a smile on their face, and with everyone gearing up for the summer of tennis we’re delighted that we’ve been able to secure Andy Murraymint to pay us a visit.”

The free monthly Snapper Jaxx Kids Club is held in the Darwin and Pride Hill Shopping Centres and has a different theme on Thursdays throughout the year.
