A brave fifteen year old schoolgirl shaved off her luscious locks yesterday in a bid to raise vital cash for charity.
Priory School pupil Charlie Bowdler raised more than £500 for Comic Relief and donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs for children affected by cancer.
“She was determined to do it,” said family friend and student hairdresser Tracy Wright, who agreed to cut Charlie’s hair. “She even did a presentation in assembly to explain to the other school pupils why she was doing it.”
