Young theatre-goers from across the county have been snapping up the opportunity to see The Ugly Duckling when the show glides into Shrewsbury later this week. The Hive Music and Media Centre will be hosting a performance of the popular children’s classic on Thursday August 23rd at 2pm.
The Ugly Duckling will be performed by the acclaimed touring theatre company Sea Legs Puppet Theatre and people are urged to book the last few remaining tickets as soon as possible, whilst they are still available - as the show is destined to sell-out like many of the Hive's live theatre productions.
The show's audience will be invited to join in the fun and meet a host of colourful and lively characters, set on the banks of an enchanting river. They can float downstream in a gentle musical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic tale of belonging and identity. Featuring fantastic puppets, brilliant storytelling, fantastic scenery and a delightful new musical score, the show is a must see for little ones and their families!
Habib Malik-Mansell, Marketing Assistant at the Hive said “I recommend people book tickets soon to avoid any disappointment as the show is certainly going to sell-out! Sea Legs consistently present high quality interactive shows that young people find fun, engaging and enjoyable. Similar to our creative workshops for young people, the Hive’s summer holiday theatre shows are always popular with our younger audiences and The Ugly Duckling will be no exception at all! ”
Only a handful of tickets are now left and they are priced at £6 for adults and £5 for children. Tickets can be booked by calling the Hive on 01743 234970 or visiting the centre in person on 5 Belmont, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY1 1TE. For more information visit http://www.hiveonline.org.uk/
