The County Channel Launch a Success

After 18 months of hard work and determination, the team behind County Channel TV, lead by producer Robert Harper and director Geoff Ward, launched Shropshire’s very own online television channel on Saturday 19th September.

“The response so far has been overwhelming”, said Robert, “from all corners of the county, and beyond, people are watching our programmes, and they love them. We’re thrilled to bits.”

“The public are really grabbing hold of what we’ve created and taking ownership of it for themselves. They’re getting the idea straight from the start, that what we’re doing is for everyone. It’s for the people of Shropshire.”

With new programmes being released each Saturday on the channel’s website at www.countychannel.tv, Geoff and Robert know they can’t stand still.

“Launching with a few programme formats is one thing, but we’ve got to keep the momentum going and make new programmes all the time,” said Geoff. “And we have some great new shows in production that we’re really looking forward to sharing.”

One of those shows is a brand new book review programme called Your Book Show, presented by Robert Harper & Vicki Archer. More than a simple book review programme, they want you to take part too by sending in your reviews of titles from a specially selected book list. Check out the Your Book Show pages on the website for more details.

We’ll be watching County Channel TV each weekend and we suspect you will be too!
