Charity Director’s Cycling Challenge

Andrew Jowett, the Director of Shrewsbury based charity, Build It International, is currently cycling 550 miles through Great Britain and Ireland to raise money for the charity.

Andrew set off on Sunday the 12th of August with his son Lewis (16) and 3 others and is aiming to complete the challenge in less than 50 hours cycling time. The route started in Shrewsbury and will see the team travel through Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and down the west coast of England.

Yesterday the group of five experienced awful weather conditions, with severe winds reaching 70mph as they headed through Northern Ireland to catch the ferry to Stranraer.

So far a total of £2,330.00 has been raised for Build It International. The Charity builds schools and clinics in Zambia and also trains men and women from the local community in basic building skills.
