Boxing Club Urgent Plea

This was going to be an editorial about the great work Shrewsbury Amateur Boxing club does in the community encouraging children to take part in sport activities, learning respect and keeping them off the streets but unfortunately this great club was hit by arsonists in the early hours of the 17th of September leaving thousands of pounds of damage and the club unusable to many children who used it regullary .

This is more of an appeal to the good natured local people of Shrewsbury to help get this club back on its feet. Donations are welcome but even if your a local tradesman with skills that can help the club and you can spare a few hours all is gratefully received.

The Club Was Formed in 1960 nad over the years have produced many champions , From Midlands champions ,national & international With Richie Woodhall Winning A Olympic Bronze medal in 1988 and then going on to win a World title as a pro , in recent years We have worked along side severnside housing offering FREE sessions to Kids and also with West mercia Police Offering the same

The club does not only offer boxing but also a range of fitness classes open to all including the ever popular mixed boxercise lessons which is a great alternative to going to a standard gym .
