Weston Park approach Ironwork Centre for Support

A Shropshire borders company renowned for its stunning sculptures has been approached to loan its work as part of a forthcoming, exciting gallery project.

Having seen the range of magnificent pieces loaned to V festival in August, the Chief Executive of Weston Park, Colin Sweeney, approached the British Ironwork Centre for support with the “Walled Garden” extension to their existing gallery.

Mr Sweeney, and Weston Park’s Curator and Head of Learning, Gareth Williams, visited the Centre to view the vast array of sculptures on display and to discuss their plans for developing a relaxed and informal outdoor space for their visitors.

Clive Knowles, Chairman of the Centre, said “It has been our pleasure to welcome Colin and Gareth to the Centre and to surprise them with the huge variety within our sculpture collections! We are delighted to be able to support and work with them on their fantastic plans to engage their visitors in art in such a beautiful outdoor setting.”
