United deal for Rybrook BMW

Shawbury United Football Club will be stepping out in style after securing a sponsorship deal for team kit and club support with local BMW car dealership, Rybrook of Shrewsbury.

Rybrook dealer principal Gareth Thomas said: “We have recently completed a major investment and expansion scheme for our dealership and showrooms, and Shawbury United FC are also making big plans for the future which will benefit the whole village, so it is fitting that we can provide on-going support to the club which could develop further as the club grows, as well as providing new team kit.

“As part of our strong commitment to the local community we are only too pleased to be supporting this extremely successful club in these very exciting times for its future.”

Shawbury United who are holders of the County Cup, are currently playing their matches in Wem, but have plans in the pipeline to create a sporting centre with both match and training pitches back in the village of Shawbury to serve their league, veteran and junior teams, as well as the community as a whole.

Shawbury FC chairman, Chris Kirkup, added: “We are delighted that Rybrook BMW are sponsoring the club and it will be of great benefit, not only to the main squads, but also to the many age group teams, Under eight Hawks, Pumas and Harriers, and grass-roots crèche players.

“We are continually moving forward as a club and are very grateful to Gareth, who lives near the village and has been known to turn out for the reserves on the odd occasion, for his help in securing this sponsorship deal.”
