Summer offer from new accounting software firm

An accounting software service has launched a summer competition, with entrants being invited to an end-of-season party at a Shropshire restaurant.
The iCan system has been developed by software specialist Mark Brawn in partnership with Shrewsbury accountants Andrews Orme and Hinton and aims to transform the accounting methods of start-up ventures and small firms.

The secure online book-keeping software means that business people can access all of their accounts from anywhere with an internet connection.
Nigel Hinton of Andrews Orme and Hinton, based at Oxon Business Park, said: “It’s a very easy and simple-to-use programme which is being taken up by small businesses throughout Shropshire. Now anyone who signs up to use iCan before September 30 or who recommends a new customer will be entered into a free draw to win the latest iPad.”

The draw will be made at The Olive Tree, in Frankwell, Shrewsbury, on October 1 and all entrants and existing customers, who are also automatically entered into the competition, are invited to attend.

“We will not purchase the prize before the competition is concluded so that the latest version of the iPad is available. A cash alternative of £450 will be offered,” Nigel added.
Jane Smith, who runs the Olive Tree restaurant with husband Kevin, said that they had signed up to iCan and found it to be of great benefit.

“It provides us with a valuable support system, which is easy to use, without having to make a huge financial commitment,” she commented.

The software package has been developed on a bespoke content management system and provides an entry level online bookkeeping package supporting PDF invoicing, profit and loss reports, balance sheet, VAT summaries, debtor analysis.
