Building on the popularity of past events, Shropgeek is proud to present...

REBELLION #6 - THE (ALMOST) SUMMER EDITION.

Held at The Alb, in Shrewsbury, on Thursday May 22nd, Shropgeek has invited some of the digital industries leading talent from both Shropshire and further afield to come along, share skills and present earth-shattering ideas. There will be three headline speakers, two five minute lightning talks and five minutes at the end of the evening to give you the opportunity to share any news or announcements you have. What more could you want?

Our Rebellion #6 headliners include: Ashley Nolan (http://ashleynolan.co.uk/) who was most recently lead front-end developeron the responsive redign of the BBC Good Food website . He has worked with brands such as PlayStation, Lynx and the RSPCA. and will be discussing “The Evolution of Visual Interaction” and how the way people use websites has changed. Kirsty Burgoine, WordPress developer and co-founder of Shropgeek, will be talking about the tricky “Question of Deliverables” so that the client knows what to expect when creating responsive websites. And finally, Tim Millwood (http://www.millwoodonline.co.uk/) will be joining us and taking a look at “The Weapon of Choice” and how choosing the right tools for the job can have a dramatic impact on a project..

Pete White, Shropgeek regular and one of the organisers of (R)Evolution conference, said:

“Shropshire has a huge digital / creative industry and there are very few events in the county that directly cater for those involved. This event promises to be a fantastic evening combining talks from some of the most innovative thinkers and doers with a wide range of topics designed to appeal specifically to people working within the digital and creative industries.”

So why not come along and join us, listen to some inspiring talks, spark your creativity and chat with like-minded people over a beer or maybe even a cocktail (or two).

The evening is sponsored by  industry heavy weights: Campaign Monitor, with Micro sponsorship from Kirsty Burgoine Ltd. (http://www.kirstyburgoine.co.uk/) and The Web Orchard (http://www.theweborchard.com/). Tickets are only £10 per person and the doors open at 6.30pm with the first speaker starting at 7pm. Spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
