SCAT visit to Westminister

Pupils from Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology (SCAT) have been given the opportunity to question their MP Daniel Kawczynski in Westminster this week.

A tour of Westminster had been arranged for college students currently studying Public Services at SCAT and Daniel met up with them to answer their questions on local politics.   They discussed topics such as the controversial North West Relief Road and the role that Daniel has to play in trying to make such projects come to fruition.

Daniel said:
“I am always pleased to see young people engaging in local politics, they are our voters of tomorrow and I wanted to emphasise to them the importance of using their vote and having their say at election time.  I was very impressed with the student’s informed questioning and their knowledge of the key political issues affecting Shrewsbury.
