Power Pull planned for Motor Show

Motor dealers of Shrewsbury have teamed up together to stage the Shropshire Motor Show this weekend which will show off the latest models and at the same time raise money for charity.

Vehicles from all the major manufactures will be on display in various locations around the streets of Shrewsbury town centre on Sunday and national energy drink company Gatorade is hosting a ‘Power Pull’ event in The Square.

Contestants will pay £1.00 to take part in a timed effort to pull the Gatorade car, with a host of prizes for the person with the fastest time, and all monies raised will go towards Hope House and Severn Hospices.

Event organiser Craig Petty, dealer principal of Hatfields Jaguar, said: “This promises to be a great day, the weather forecast is favourable and we are expecting lots of people to come along to see the various vehicle displays and have a go at pulling the car.

“Shrewsbury Rugby Club have entered several contestants already so they may be the boys to beat, but we may also get a few ‘dark horses’ as well, and I am certainly going to be having a go myself.

Further details can be obtained from Hatfields Jaguar on 01743 234300.
