Open event planned at school

One of Shrewsbury’s leading preparatory schools is planning an open morning later this month.
Prestfelde School, which educates around 285 children aged from three to 13 drawn from all over the county, will open the doors of its London Road premises for an open morning on May 15.
Caroline Williams, Prestfelde registrar, said that prospective parents and pupils were welcome to make an appointment to visit.

“On our open morning our pupils will be taking families on a tour of the school and the facilities we offer on our 30 acre site – they will also drop in on classrooms to talk to staff and children.

“The tours will be followed by refreshments prepared by our award-winning chef when there will be an opportunity to chat to our headmaster Mark Groome and other members of staff,” she explained.

Caroline added that the school had recently invested in a new mini bus and from September would be offering daily school transport for pupils from throughout Shropshire.
