New jobs and further expansion for Rybrook BMW

Six new jobs will be created when a premier Shropshire car dealership unveils a £1 million expansion of its business next month.

Rybrook BMW of Shrewsbury has invested heavily in the major refurbishment and extension to its Battlefield showrooms, bringing the dealership up to date with the latest technology and facilities.

Dealer principal Gareth Thomas explained that the scheme would align his business with BMW’s new international identity.

“This exciting and substantial investment will provide a completely new showroom and office complex, incorporating state-of-the-art facilities and environmentally-friendly, energy efficient heating and lighting.

“Having put out tenders nationwide, we are delighted to announce that the majority of contractors awarded work on the project are based in Shrewsbury or within the county.

“The new set-up will provide more customer parking, extra showroom space to display a greater number of vehicles, bespoke offices and special customer lounge areas with free wi-fi facilities.

“Modern technology will enable sales staff to use computer notebooks and other devices to create a virtual image - set in any location, day or night - of any new car to the customer’s exact requirements. This more relaxed method will be far better than simply looking through brochures or consulting specification sheets.”

Gareth said that he was also introducing two new ‘Genius’ members of staff who were experts in every field of BMW vehicles and who would offer customers practical advice in a more informal manner from the comfort of armchairs, rather than being seated behind a desk.

He added: “We are very grateful for the tolerance shown by our customers during any disruption due the refurbishment work and look forward to welcoming them to our splendid new showrooms next month.”

Principal contractors for the refurbishment are Shrewsbury-based Capital Construction Management and managing director William Onions added: “As a locally based company, we are delighted to be able to assist Rybrook BMW in this major refurbishment and expansion of their showrooms.”
