A new dawn for Ra Rising!

Shrewsbury based progressive rock band Ra Rising are all set for success in 2015. The band recently released their latest album, ‘Seize the Day’, which is available both on CD and as a download from all of the usual suppliers. Vocalist Richard Benjamin said “This is all original material, with us older guys playing the songs of our younger selves and our friends. Many of these songs have been written over the years with one of the earliest having 1976 jotted in the margin of the lyric sheet!”

Drummer Dai Rees said “This project has been seven years in the making and we’re really excited with the result. New arrangements and modern recording techniques have given the album a truly contemporary feel and proved that great song writing is perennial, with collaborations that show how much talent there is in the local area”.

The album has already received international interest with airplay on several internet radio stations in America and sales around the world.

The band has produced an animated video to the album’s title track, ‘Carpe Diem’, with help from Shrewsbury artist Dea Paradisos who also designed the sleeve art.
