Look out for low-flying aircraft whilst shopping in Shrewsbury!

A selection of drones is buzzing around one of the town’s shops - but fortunately they are only remote control gadgets flying just for fun.

The new selection of state-of-the-art toys from Extreme Fliers - the company founded by Shrewsbury’s Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Vernon Kerswell - is now in stock at Write Here in Shrewsbury’s High Street.

“We do demonstrations of the new Micro Drones in the shop – they are great fun and will do mid-air stunts as well as buzz around up to 120 metres from the remote control handset,” said John Hall of Write Here.

“These gadgets are really exciting and always attract a lot of interest, especially from little boys of all ages - from 14 years old to 84!”

Extreme Fliers was founded several years ago by former Shrewsbury Sixth Form College student Vernon, of Picklescott, who appeared on BBC’s Dragon's Den television programme and now distributes his toys in the county exclusively through Write Here.

The Micro Drone is priced at £49.99 and comes with remote control handset, batteries and spare blades.
