Half-term fun at frightful Follies

Shropshire’s gothic Hawkstone Park Follies has plenty to keep the family entertained this October half term. The ancient parkland dates back to the 18th century and is the original adventure playground with bridges to cross, ancient monuments to climb and deep woods to explore.

The park will be celebrating Halloween throughout the week with ‘trick or treat’ trails in the caves, Saturday 25th to Friday 31st October. Beware the skeletons, ghosts and creepy crawlies that lurk in the dark as you hunt for hidden treasure.

The Follies’ newly appointed Artist-in-residence, Sarah Evans, will also be running drop-in silk painting workshops for children on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th. She’ll be showing visitors how to capture the first glimpses of the autumn season in a piece of artwork to take home.

Hawkstone Park Follies is open from 10am to 5pm, Saturday 25th to Friday 31st October. Tickets are priced adult £7.25; child £4.75; concession £6.25. Family tickets are £23.00 (2 adults + 2 children) and £26.00 (2 adults + 3 children). Treasure trails are at an additional £1.50 and artactivities are £4.
