Garden centre joins county scheme

Love Plants, the gardening centre which forms part of Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury is the latest firm to sign up for the I-Care Card scheme which is run by the Carers Support Service of Shropshire Rural Community Council.
The scheme attracts discounts for family carers from nearly 50 businesses and services across the region that are available to registered family carers.
Love Plants manager Tim Robinson commented: “As one of Shropshire’s leading gardening centres we are very proud to be associated with and assisting Shropshire RCC’s hard work by supporting this excellent scheme through offering a discount to its band of carers.”
Elodie Home of Shropshire RCC said: “We are very grateful to Love Plants for joining so many other businesses in backing the Carers Support Service which provides real benefits to many of the army of over 30,000 carers around the county who look after family or friends and any businesses willing to support the I-Care Card scheme can obtain further information from 01743 341995.
“Also, if any family carers would like to register with our service, they can call the above number too – they would then be entitled to register with the I-Care Card scheme and would also be eligible for the many other services that the Carers Support Service provides.”
