Fundraising Drive for Hospice

A Shropshire telecoms firm is calling for new local business clients to join them in their appeal to raise much needed funds for a hospice.

Network Telecom has announced it will donate part of its profits from newly signed up firms to Severn Hospice which has to raise two thirds of its funds each year to care for 2,800 patients in Shropshire and Mid Wales.

Staff at their Telford HQ at Hadley Park, who regularly raise money for a number of good causes, voted unanimously to nominate the hospice as its Charity of the Year.

Network Telecom MD Paul Maxfield said: The hospice touches a lot of people’s lives which was a key reason in us deciding to support such a worthwhile cause.
“We want to give something back to an organisation that does great work in the local community which the Severn Hospice certainly does.”
Severn Hospice fundraising officer Daniel Smith said they were proud to have been chosen by Network Telecom as their Charity of the Year.
“Although Network Telecom has expanded to offer a nationwide service, they were keen to continue supporting their local roots for which we are very grateful. We look forward to working closely with them over the coming year.”
