Follow Up To Leighton Hall Weddings Open Day

More than 40 people planning to tie the knot came along to an open day at a country house in Shropshire.

And as a result of their visit to Leighton Hall, near Wroxeter on Sunday 6th October, three couples have already booked their big day with Historic House Weddings and several more have asked for further information.

Hannah Hall, owner of The Wroxeter Hotel, set up Historic House Weddings two years ago and said its popularity was growing.

“It offers couples looking for a grand setting for their wedding while also wanting the high levels of service from a traditional hotel venue the best of both worlds,” she said.

“We held an open day at Leighton Hall, with all the rooms decked out as they would be for a real wedding. It is a beautiful Georgian mansion set in stunning countryside yet still retains a homely feel due to the fact it is still the private home of the Corrie family.

“We had a record number of visitors to the open day, which was brilliant, and three of the couples made their bookings within a few days, with several more expressing their keen interest and asking for more information.”

Historic House Weddings aims to make the most of some of Shropshire’s stunning country homes by offering them as wedding venues, with all the expert catering and service that would come with a wedding held at The Wroxeter Hotel.

“In the two years since we first launched the business and word has spread, more and more people are falling in love with the idea of getting married at what is for many a fairytale venue,” added Mrs Hall.
