Expression of Wishes Form

A local funeral director has marked the first anniversary of its launch of its innovative Expression of Wishes form by once again making it available for free download via its website.

Shrewsbury, Four Crosses, and Welshpool-based family firm, Aubrey Kirkham Funeral Directors, launched the Expression of Wishes form in 2012 to provide local people with the opportunity to note things that they would like and which would be important to them, and so help their families arrange the perfect ceremony in the future. The firm received such positive feedback about the form and how it helped broach a difficult subject with sensitivity, that it decided to re-introduce the download to its website, and have hard copy hand-outs readily available at its dedicated offices.

“Discussing funerals is tough at any time” explained Aubrey Kirkham. “Sadly, we have often seen the difficulties faced by families when they are unsure of what their loved one would have wanted. At such a challenging time anyway, having to second-guess such important decisions can cause real stress and even disagreements across the wider family.”

“We’re extremely proud of the support that we offer the families we work with and the wider community as a whole, and when we devised this simple form a year ago it seemed like a natural extension of that support. It’s discreet, can be completed by anyone, of any age, and it provides genuine peace of mind that your wishes will be followed when your time eventually comes.

The Expression of Wishes form is available to download free of charge, from the Aubrey Kirkham Funeral Directors website Very simple to complete, by indicating your preferences the form will provide peace of mind and ensure that funeral arrangements are as straight-forward as possible for your family should the need ever arise. You simply then need to store the document with your Will or other important papers for the future.
