Drum, Dance, Dyna-Mix In Shrewsbury

Something new and something special in Shrewsbury on July 19th

Shrewsbury Morris Dancers present their Drum, Dance, Dyna-mix Day in The Square, Shrewsbury. Starting at 10am, a free day of musical entertainment featuring stunning performances of percussive step-dance and virtuoso musicianship from The Buffalo Gals Stampede and the rhythmical and pounding beat of the Kayobi Taiko Drummers. Plus there will also be Appalachian high-kicking and high jinx from Kickin’ Alice Step Dancers and Belfagan Women’s Morris are coming all the way from Cumbria. In case all that is not enough The Shrewsbury Lasses, Shrewsbury Bull and Pump Morris Men and The Shrewsbury Cloggers will be adding even more magical ingredients.

However the day will not end there! In the evening Shrewsbury Morris are joining forces with Squeezing Shropshire for the first ever Dyna-mix Ceilidh at Sundorne School, Shrewsbury. Music will be provided by the Dyna-mix Workshp Ceilidh Band. This amazing band will have joined together for the first time the week before to play, learn and practice enough tunes to keep the dancers on their toes throughut the eveni go f July 19th. Just when everyone needs a rest The Buffalo Gals Stampede will take to the floor to amaze everyone. All will be kept in place by the skillful calling from MC Bev Langton.
