Daniel Kawczynski attends Bear Steps Art Exhibition

Daniel Kawczynski, Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury and Atcham,  has been presented with a unique picture of Westminster by local artist Lyn Evans.  Lyn is currently displaying her work at Bear Steps Gallery in Shrewsbury.

Lyn’s picture of Westminister has been created using torn pieces of paper from glossy magazines and has been signed by Prime Minister David Cameron.  It will hang in the exhibition until 22 February and then Daniel will take the picture down to London where it is anticipated that it will be displayed in Number 10 Downing Street.

Daniel said:
“Lyn’s extraordinary technigue of using pieces of hand torn glossy magazines to recreate landscapes and landmarks has produced some vibrant and exquisite pieces of art.  I was particularly impressed with her pictures of Shrewsbury landmarks such as St Chad’s and The Dingle.

Lyn’s Exhibition is in the main gallery at Bear Steps until Saturday 22nd February, and is open daily (with execption of Sundays) from 10am  to 4pm and is well worth a visit.”
