Country Crafts come to Hawkstone Park Follies

Hawkstone Park Follies, the historic woodland fantasy in Shropshire, is holding its first ever Country Craft Fair this Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August. Local artisans selling everything from cards and art pieces to accessories to confectionary will be taking up residence in the park, against a dramatic backdrop of towering cliffs and crags.

Dogs are welcome to join the fun, with throw and fetch activities leading to tasty treats for hungry hounds. Families can also try their hand at archery, with instruction given by one of the park’s wardens.

Local tree surgeons will be showcasing their skills on the Saturday, creating giant animal carvings andsculptures. A bird of prey experience will be taking place on the Sunday, giving families the chance to get up close and personal to magnificent feathered friends including owls and hawks.

Park Manager Caroline Wellon says “The weekend will be a celebration of English country pursuits and creativity. We welcome visitors of all ages to join us and enjoy the park while the sun is still shining!”.

The park is open from 10am to 5pm seven days a week throughout July and August (last admission 3pm on the gate). Tickets are priced adult £7.00; child £4.50; concession £6.00. Family tickets are £22.00 (2 adults + 2 children) and £25.00 (2 adults + 3 children). Activities are at no extra cost, except the archery priced at £2 for 6 arrows or £3 for 12.
