Costumed capers at Llanymynech

Seventy lady golfers from around the county turned up in fancy dress to take part in the Ladies Christmas Open fun competition hosted each year at Llanymynech Golf Club.

Event organiser, Ros Phillips said: “This really is a fun tournament where we only cover 13 holes on the course, but including playing the 18th - off the men’s tee, which is something of a challenge for many competitors, but always played with great enthusiasm.

“We are especially delighted to welcome so many ladies from several different clubs including Oswestry, Arscott, Mile End and Shrewsbury, and it is wonderful to see the effort they have made with their outfits to help bring a little festive cheer to the annual event.”
