Cleaning company expands and takes on more staff

A cleaning company in Telford has expanded the range it offers and taken on two new members of staff to cope with demand.

Cleveland Cleaning Ltd, based in Madeley, is a family-run industrial and commercial cleaning company, but from this month it also offers carpet and upholstery cleaning.

Rob McCreadie, a director at Cleveland Cleaning, has 10 years experience in cleaning carpets and said he was very excited about the expansion of his families’ business.

He said: “I have worked in carpet cleaning for a long time so I am very pleased that the Cleveland Cleaning has decided to branch out into this area.

“The company was set up by my parents and has been going for just over 16 years.
“We have usually stuck to contracts for cleaning buildings, homes and offering janitorial supplies but now we are able to offer our customers something new too.
“It has been a tough few years for independant businesses so to be able to expand and take on more staff now is a great reflection of the determination of our company and the loyalty of our customers.”
Rob was previously a lance corporal in the army and served in Kosovo before he left to join the family business in 2005.

Now he will offer cleaning to upholstery, leather suits and rugs.
The company will be leafleting homes across Telford with special offers in the coming weeks.

Mr McCreadie uses top of the range machinery and has the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration certification, supplied by worldwide company Clean Trust.

The company is owned by Rob’s mother Marie McCreadie and her husband Rab.
It has more than 40 members of staff, including Mrs McCreadie’s daughter Nikki, and over 50 contracts throughout Shropshire.

Clients range from small blue companies, offices, healthcare facilities to nurseries and schools.

Mrs McCreadie said: “I am so pleased that Rob has come on board to offer his expertise to our company and help us expand.
“We are known for our high standards of service and I know that will continue in his hands.
“We had a lot of clients asking us about cleaning carpets so we often had to recommend other companies.
“Now it just means we will be able to do more of a complete job for all our customers and there is a guarantee in place to make sure they are happy with the outcome.

“It is great, not only to have someone with so much experience, but also to continue our family-run business with yet another member of the family on board.

“To be able to expand is brilliant for us, we are always looking to improve what we offer and we take great pride in keeping our standards high.”
