Christmas gift donations needed for homeless cats & dogs

Staff at Lower Mill Boarding Kennels in Pontesford, Shrewsbury are calling on their customer's generosity this festive season!

Instead of giving gifts to the staff at the kennels like chocolate and biscuits, they are asking for treats or toys for cats and dogs that don't have homes this Christmas.

They will then split the goodies between 2 local rescue shelters - Grinshill Animal Rescue and Shropshire Cat Rescue.

Owner Jonathan Edwards said "We are always extremely grateful for the gifts our customers give to us at Christmas, but this year we wanted to give something back, so we are asking our customers to give a bag of treats for a dog or a small toy for a cat so that these homeless animals get something at Christmas time.  It's important to support small local businesses who rely on donations from the public which is why we have chosen these two."

If any Lower Mill customers or anyone else would like to donate something please pop it down to the kennels where it will be gratefully received.

A special mention to Pontesbury Primary School who kindly lent us the Santa outfit!
