Catering firm hosts sell-out Italian night

Tables for an exclusive pop-up Italian night at a Telford restaurant have sold out in just three days.

Bosses at Sofood! only started promoting the exclusive event last Monday (27th January) but by Wednesday (29th January) all the tables had been fully booked.
Due to the high demand they are now planning to host more regular themed events.

“It’s fantastic how quickly the tables have sold through word-of-mouth,” said director Kristian Lea.

“It is certainly something we plan to do more of given the level of interest and those not managing to get a table this time round will hopefully be able to come on another night.”

Sofood! head chef Dave Mason will be designing and cooking the Italian menu on the evening of February 28th. He is no stranger to Italian food having been head chef at the popular Cafe Del Manso restaurant in Wellington a number of years ago.

“Italian food is one of my favourite and I am excited about being able to create an authentic yet contemporary menu for our customers,” he said.

“The restaurant doesn’t normally open in the evening so it is fantastic to be able to open up at put on an exclusive event like this.

“I’m thrilled there has been such an overwhelming response and all the tables are booked. I’m looking forward to holding more Italian evenings in the near future.”
Sofood!, which is based at Maple House Business Centre, Queensway, near Hortonwood, first opened nearly a year ago. The restaurant is open weekdays from 7.30am and serves breakfast and lunches.

It also has a growing reputation for its catering service providing high quality buffet lunches at conferences, business meetings, training events and private functions.
