Carer tickets for County Show

Fifty carers from across the county will be attending one of the region’s premier events thanks to the generosity of show organisers.
The Shropshire County Show is an all-day annual family event taking place at the agricultural showground on Berwick Road in Shrewsbury on 24th May with attractions including tractor pulling, donkey rides, military field gun race, horse events, fun fair, countryside area, dog show, food halls and shopping marquee.
Show manager Ian Bebbington said: “The Carers Appeal is our chosen charity for the year and we are delighted to be able to welcome carers to this great day out and are happy to support Shropshire Rural Community Council in its essential work throughout the county.”
Elodie Home, fundraiser for Shropshire RCC added: “ Family carers do so much for their friends and loved ones, often caring for them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with very few breaks and are often forgotten about.

“It is wonderful that the County Show has recognised just what a contribution carers make to society.

“We are very much looking forward to attending the show and will be giving the guest tickets to 50 carers who are registered on our books, so on behalf of the Carers Appeal we would like to thank Ian and his colleagues for their generosity and supporting us as their chosen charity this year.”
